We all slip up time to time

Let’s be honest here, who has cheated on their diet? Sampling a little something here, eating a little too much or just eating something without planning for it. Pretty sure we have all done it at some point, I know I have multiple times.

Dieting can be hard! Trying to stay in a calorie deficit to lose the weight means one thing, hungry… all the time. That alone can be enough to make someone cheat on their diet. Work can be one of the worst, going in when people bring in things like donuts. When your starving and there are some glorious donuts sitting there waiting to be eaten. The struggle is real!

Over the weekend I attended a couple birthdays, which I’m sure most of us know that is not ideal for a diet. People even bought vegan burgers just for me, so how can I say no. I won’t lie I broke down and ate the food. But you know what it didn’t upset me all that much. Yes I cheated on my diet but is it really going to make it break the look I strive for?

I then found myself looking a little more fluffy then the day prior but that was about the worst of it. The biggest thing to remember is yes you may stray from your diet, but that doesn’t mean you should give up your efforts. A bad meal or a bad day is not going to ruin your efforts but consistently slipping up will.

We are only human and we all make mistakes from time to time, but the best thing you can do is jump back on the train. Yea I had a bad day, but the next day I was right back on track with my diet. Within a day or two my body should level out and be right where it was.

The important thing to remember here is we all will fail and have tough times to work through. Don’t let those days ruin your progress! Pick yourself up and get back on track. Have a goal with something to work towards, this will give you the motivation you need to keep going. Don’t get up in your own head, nobody is perfect!

Do you struggle keeping in diet? What do you do to help?
